Using the Microsoft Outlook Meeting Booker in Sendoso

  • Updated

Sendoso’s Meeting Booker allows you to require a booked meeting before a gift is redeemed. If your team uses Microsoft Outlook for scheduling, you can connect your Shared Booking Page directly in your User Settings.

Please contact your Customer Success Resource if you'd like to enable this feature.

Adding Your Shared Booking Page

  1. Navigate to your Sendoso User Settings.
  2. Locate the Meeting Booker Link field.
In Microsoft Outlook, create or open a Shared Booking Page (not a personal/private booking page).
  3. Copy the URL of your Shared Booking Page link.
  4. Paste the URL into the Meeting Booker Link field.
  5. Click Connect.

⚠️ Important:

  • Personal booking pages are not supported.
  • The link must come from a Shared Booking Page so Sendoso can validate meeting bookings.

When you click Connect, Sendoso will prompt you to sign in to your Microsoft Outlook account to validate the link.

If the link is invalid or not recognized as a Shared Booking Page, you’ll receive an error to update your URL.

Permissions Used

When you connect your account, you grant Sendoso the necessary permissions to read your booking information and verify that meetings are successfully scheduled. These required permissions use delegated access.

Permission Why It’s Needed
Bookings.Read.All Reads bookings information to confirm a meeting was booked.
Calendars.Read Reads calendar entries to verify the meeting exists.
email Identifies the correct user account for the meeting link.
offline_access Maintains the granted access for the integration.
openid Signs users in. (Required for any integration)
profile Provides basic profile details for integration login.
User.Read Required to sign in and read the user’s basic profile.

  2. Scroll to the bottom of the Send page.

  3. Enable the Require a Meeting? setting at the bottom of the page

  4. Your validated Shared Booking Page link will be displayed to review and save

Recipient Experience Walkthrough

  1. Your recipient first receives the gift notification
  2. They click through to the gift landing to choose their gift
  3. Before accessing the gift, the recipient must schedule a meeting.
  4. The recipient views your availability on your Shared Booking Page, selects a date/time, enters their information, and schedules a meeting.

Once completed:

  • The meeting appears on your Outlook calendar.

  • Sendoso verifies it was booked via your Shared Booking Page.

  • The recipient can redeem their gift
