One of the benefits of using Sendoso for gifting is our automated notification system that enables seamless gift delivery to your recipient. We send various notifications via email to recipients and senders so that everyone involved can rest assured that the gift will get to where it needs to go.
In this article, we’ll go through all of the notifications that recipients receive during the lifecycle of claiming a gift.
Choosing Length of Offer
Whenever the recipient needs to take action to receive a gift, you will have the opportunity to choose the length of time the offer will last. The timeline you choose will determine when reminder email notifications will be delivered to the recipient.
For physical gifts, recipients will receive a reminder email notification 24 hours before the offer is due to expire. For eGifts, recipients will receive reminders 2 days before expiration.
Here’s how to select how long recipients have to redeem or claim gifts.
eGift Offers
When you create an eGift Campaign, you will be asked to select the length of time to allow the recipient to redeem their gift.

Physical Gift Offers
Recipients will only receive notifications if they have to confirm their address, choose a style or size of an item, or if they are offered a choice between several gift options.
The length of time they have to take the necessary steps to claim their gift will depend on the timeframe selected by the Sender of the gift at the time of sending.
Physical Gifts Notifications
With Address Confirmation enabled
Physical sends (from a warehouse or the Marketplace) that have Address Confirmation enabled will trigger an email sent to the recipient asking that they confirm the address they’d like their gift to be delivered. Here is what the email looks like:
Once they click the Confirm Address button, they will be directed to a form asking for their information.
If Address Confirmation was not enabled or necessary for the send, the recipient will not receive any email notifications unless the send includes size/style selection or recipient choice. Address Confirmation will automatically be enabled if either of these features is enabled.
Size/Style Selection
Here is the email the recipient will receive if they are asked to make a size or style selection:
Recipient Choice Direct
If this type of send is sent to the recipient, then they will receive an email asking them to make a selection.
Reminder Notifications
If the recipient does not provide the requested information for any of these types of Sends, Sendoso will send them a reminder 24 hours before the offer expires.
eGift Notifications
When a recipient receives an eGift offer via email, they will receive two emails with instructions on redeeming the gift.
The first email is the offer where they will click the Claim your eGift button:
The second email will contain a link to the redemption code/instructions:
Reminder emails
If the recipient does not redeem their eGift, they will receive a reminder email 2 days before the offer is set to expire.
