There are two options available that enhance your sending experience!
- When you’re doing a gift send and you’ve done the pre-requisite custom domain work to allow Sendoso to send emails from your domain, you have the option to send emails from your own email address rather than the generic domain in your user settings.
- When executing a send, you’ll have the option to send from another user in your account and have any emails come from their email address.
If you need to send a gift to a recipient, but want that gift to show as coming from another sender on your Sendoso account, we are now enabling Admins and Managers to send on behalf of anyone on their team.
If you're an Admin, you'll be able to initiate a send on behalf of another Sender on your instance. If you're a manager of a team on Sendoso, you'll be able to send on behalf of anyone on your assigned team.
Sending on behalf of another Sender is currently only available for Sends to individual recipients. It currently is not enabled for bulk sends.
Executing a Send on Behalf of Another User
First, select the send you'd like to initiate from the Send Page. From there, select the single recipient option.
During the send flow in Sendoso the last option on the page is the option to "Send As" and to select a team member to send on behalf of. If no option is selected, the send will come from the logged in user.
In the dropdown, you'll be able to type and search for the user who you'd like to send on behalf of. The send will follow the campaign funding settings, either the sender balance of the person pressing send or the funding source will be charged.

The Difference in Experience
When "sent as" another user, the recipient will receive the gift from the user selected by the sender. All responses and updates on the status of the send will go to the user who was sent on behalf of, in addition to a notification telling them that a gift was sent on their behalf.
The Send Tracker
When accessing sends executed this way in the send tracker, the sender will appear as the user who pressed send, but in the send details you can check who the send was done on behalf of.
The Permission Structure
The "Send As" feature will follow Sendoso's standard permission structure.
- Admins: Can send on behalf of all users.
- Department Admins: Can send of behalf of every user in a team under the department.
- Managers: Can send on behalf of all users on their team.
- Senders: Cannot send on behalf of other users.

If the Campaign is set to charge the Sender's balance, which balance will the cost of the gift come out of?
The gift cost will come out of the balance of the person who initiated the Send. Whoever clicks "Send It" will be charged.
How can I see who I sent on behalf of?
In the send tracker, you can check the send details to see who a send was done on behalf of.
Can Senders send on behalf of another Sender?
Not at this time!
Can I send on behalf of multiple teams?
Admins can send on behalf of users from all teams.
