Get to Know Oso
- Oso only works within your Sendoso account and only has access to the information that your Sendoso role permits. For example, if you're a Department Admin, you can only get information about your department through Oso.
- Oso currently only works with data in your account. If you need help with your account or need to learn how to do something, please visit the help center or use the Support Widget. Oso is still learning!
- Oso is here to offer data insights and cannot take any action within your account.
- NEW: Oso can help you choose and send the best gift for your recipient!

Oso lives at the bottom of your Dashboard, Send Tracker and Analytics pages and is available for users on Advanced and Enterprise plans. Not sure if you're on one of these plans? Reach out to your Account Manager.

Reporting: Oso in Action
Once you click the Ask me anything... prompt, you can start chatting with Oso about your account. Oso provides you with some examples of reports that can be pulled right from the start, so you don't have to guess what Oso's capabilities are.
Here are the built-in reports that Oso can run on demand for you. Feel free to copy and paste these commands and edit them to your liking!
1. Insights
- Surprise Me: Run a deep six-month readout on our sending activity. Find the most interesting patterns, anomalies, and surprises across volume, engagement, teams, and gift types. Go wild with charts.
- Recipient Sentiment: Analyze recipient feedback from the last 6 months. Classify feedback as positive, neutral, or negative and show a donut chart of the sentiment breakdown. Pull the top 3 actual quotes from recipients. Then show overall trends: which gift types get the most feedback and how feedback rates changed month over month.
- Do Gift Messages Matter?: Compare engagement rates for sends with a personal gift message vs sends without one over the last 6 months. Does personalization actually move the needle? Show the data.
- Gift Impact Report: Which gift types drive the highest engagement? Compare egifts vs marketplace vs inventory vs direct mail engagement rates and volumes for the last quarter. Show me where to double down.
- Geographic Hotspots: Where are our gifts going? Break down sends by recipient state and country for the last 6 months. Show engagement rates by region so I can see where gifts land best.

- Send Method Comparison: How do our send methods compare? Show standard vs bulk vs triggered vs smart send vs party link: volume, engagement rate, and average cost for the last 3 months.
- Campaign Comparison: Compare our 5 most active campaigns head-to-head for the last 3 months: total sends, engagement rate, cost per engaged recipient, and primary gift type for each.
- Stale Campaigns: Which campaigns were active 3-6 months ago but had zero sends in the last 30 days? Show their historical performance so I can decide what to revive or retire.
- Salesforce Campaign ROI: For sends linked to Salesforce campaigns, show the top 10 SF campaigns by send volume with engagement rates and total spend. Which Salesforce campaigns are driving the best gifting results?
Sending with Oso
Once you click the Ask me anything... prompt, you can now ask Oso for help finding a gift for a recipient. Oso will walk you through the gift sending process in an easy, intuitive way.
You can ask Oso what gift are available in a specific category by asking Oso, "what options do you have for new baby welcome gifts?" and Oso will show you a curated list of gift options. Below the list of options, you can click certain prompts to either find more premium gifts, or set a budget.
You can click on the options to read more about the gift in the panel that pops our on the right side of the page.
If you click Select this Gift, Oso will ask you for the recipient's information in the chat.
Once you provide the recipient's information, Oso will write a personalized note ask for your confirmation before sending. You can also enable gift exchange, address confirmation, edit the note and schedule the gift for later at this stage.
You can also use Oso to send if you know which gift you'd like to send right off the bat. In the example below, we asked Oso to find a $50 eGift for a specific recipient:

Can I download the data that Oso shares?
Not at this time, but feel free to copy/paste or take screenshots of the insights shared by Oso.
What's the difference between Quick and Detailed mode?
Quick mode is great for general questions and Detailed mode is recommended when you want to see data, charts, etc. Detailed mode might take Oso a few more seconds to process, but Oso will get the job done!
Can Oso help me configure my inventory, campaigns or automations?
Oso only provides data insights and helps you send a one-to-one gift at this time, but we have big plans for Oso's future. Stay tuned!
How long does Oso keep our conversation history?
Oso does not retain previous conversations at this time. Once a session is ended, you'll have a fresh start.
Does Oso remember my preferences on how data is formatted or do I have to repeat instructions?
Since Oso does not save information from previous conversations, you'll have to let Oso know how you like your reports formatted when you ask for data.
How are gifts sent through Oso funded?
Gifts sent through Oso will be funded by the sender's individual balance. At this time, these sends cannot be charged directed to a funding source.
How do I track the gifts that are sent through Oso?
Sends made through Oso will be attached to the default smart_send campaign. If you've sent anything through SmartSend in the past, Oso sends will be added to that campaign in the Send Tracker.
How can I start fresh with a new chat in the same session?
If you click the pencil icon in the top-right of the chat window, you'll get a fresh session.
