Postcards on Demand

For only $2 per send, you can leverage Sendoso's Marketplace to design and send custom postcards on demand.

Designing Postcards

To get started, you can just head over to the Marketplace under the Send dropdown menu. Click Postcards

Click Create Postcard. You'll see a pop-up where you'll type a name, description, and choose the size of your postcard.

Now you'll have the opportunity to design your custom postcard! Click the corresponding links to design the front and the back of your postcard.

Use the editing tool to add images, upload files/images (JPEG, PNG), add text, shapes, and more! Within the text, there are variables available that can be included. 

Merge Variables: 

Recipient First Name {{to.firstName}}
Recipient Last Name {{to.lastName}}
Sender First Name {{from.firstName}}
Sender Last Name {{from.lastName}}

Once you're happy with your design, click Save Design at the top.

Design Guidelines

Size 6x4" (Document: 6.25x4.25" with bleed)

Front:
Extend background to edges.
Keep all text inside the pink safe zone.

Back:
Right red area (2.4") – leave clear for address/indicia.
Bottom barcode zone (4.75" x 0.625") – no artwork or ink.

Sending Postcards

Once you've designed both sides of the postcard, you can either send it to a recipient from the marketplace or you can create a campaign!

For only $2 a send, we recommend sending the postcard to yourself to make sure it looks the way you'd like before adding it to a campaign.

FAQs

Is there a way to track the delivery of postcards?

At this time, we do not have a tracking link or number to provide for postcards that have been sent. The Send Tracker will still retain these types of sends for your records, but no tracking link will be associated with these sends.

Why don't you require RBG and/or CMYK files for image uploading?

Our printing partner handles the conversion of PNG/JPEG images to RBG/CMYK on their end. The template creating process was designed to be as easy as possible, with our printing partner handling the file conversion, printing and sending.

Can I add a custom postcard to my other inventory sends?

Not at this time. We use a third party to print and send these postcards, and they are not located in our SFCs with your inventory. 

What is the minimum quantity required for Postcards on Demand?

There is no minimum order quantity. Each postcard is printed on demand whenever it is sent.

How long does it take for postcards to be sent?

The SLA for postcards is 5-7 days. 

Are they sent in envelopes?

They are not sent in envelopes. Like other postcards, these postcards are sent without envelopes.

Can I add QR codes to postcards? What about unique codes for each postcard?

Yes! Feel free to upload images of QR codes (consider using Party Links!) to your postcards. However, if you're doing a bulk CSV send, there is no way for each postcard to have a unique code. The code you upload to the design template will be the one on every postcard in the send.

Can I add a custom background color?

Yes! If you click the first tile on the Background tab, you'll be able to put in a code for the specific color you'd like to use.

Where do the merge variables pull from?

This depends on how you send these. If you initiate a bulk CSV upload send, the merge variables will be pulled from the CSV data. If you send a single postcard, it will pull from the information collected on the Send page or through the address confirmation form submitted by the recipient.

Can these be sent internationally?

Yes! Postcards can be sent internationally! However, if you're sending postcards across borders, please allow more time for them to arrive at their destination.

What type of paper are postcards printed on?

Our postcards are printed on 100 lb glossy cardstock, a durable, high-quality paper commonly used for marketing materials, invitations, and other items where a substantial feel is important. This gives postcards a professional finish while helping them withstand the mailing journey.

Can I cancel a postcard send?

No. Once a postcard send is submitted, it cannot be canceled. In rare operational cases, internal escalations may be reviewed for feasibility, but they do not guarantee cancellation and may result in additional fees. We recommend reviewing all details before submitting your postcard send.

Can I delete a postcard?

Yes, you can delete a postcard from its details page, which permanently removes it from your marketplace. Doing so will move any active campaigns using that design to Draft status, though it will not affect postcards that have already been sent.
