Best Practices and Considerations

  • We recommend utilizing the ‘Writeback Mapping’ fields to enhance reporting capabilities
  • Sendoso recommends a 1:1 mapping relationship. For every Sendoso gifting campaign you create, we recommend mapping to its own individual SFDC campaign for tracking purposes.
  • By default, Sendoso won’t check any of the campaign member statuses as ‘Responded’. We allow the customer to choose which gift status becomes the ‘Responded’ status in SFDC. (This only applies if you created the SFDC campaign directly from Sendoso)

For eGift campaigns:

  • You can also use 1 Parent campaign for all your Gifting campaigns and create child campaigns underneath the parent to track each individual Sendoso gifting campaign.

FAQs

Do I have to create an SFDC campaign for every Sendoso gifting campaign?

As a best practice, we do recommend this; however, you don’t have to. Some customers will create 1 SFDC campaign for all their Door Openers and have multiple Sendoso campaigns synced to that one door opener campaign.

The only downside with this approach is that we can’t get granular with the reporting to show you which gifting campaign was the most successful when multiple gifting campaigns are funneling into a single SFDC campaign.

Can I create the SFDC campaigns in Sendoso?

Yes! You can use the ‘Create Campaign’ button on the Campaign Tracking page when building your campaign to create the SFDC campaign directly from Sendoso. Doing this will also create all the Campaign Member Statuses to mirror the Sendoso gift statuses. One thing to note, is this feature won’t work if you have any custom required fields when creating campaigns in SFDC.

Do I need to map every gift status to a corresponding campaign member status?

No, you can map just the gift statuses that you care the most about. If you don’t care to update the campaign member status when the gift is ‘Processing’ for example, just skip mapping that gift status.

Can we retroactively push send data into SFDC campaigns if we forget to map to a SFDC Campaign?

Yes! Please reach out to our support team with the Sendoso Campaign ID number that you want us to retroactively sync to SFDC.
