Creating a Sendoso Choice Direct Campaign

Sendoso Choice Direct is a new way to allow your recipients to choose a physical gift from a curated selection of gifts from our Marketplace vendors. Recipients will be able to choose a gift from a pool of options added to a Touch through a landing page.

Creating a Sendoso Choice Direct Campaign is very similar to creating a normal Sendoso Direct Campaign, but you'll be able to choose up to 8 options for your recipients to make a selection from. 

In this article, we'll go through how to create a Sendoso Choice Direct Campaign, how to edit your selections, and how it looks on the recipient's end. For an overview of all other types of Campaigns you can make, click here.

Creating a Sendoso Choice Direct Campaign

First, click on the Campaigns tab at the top of your Sendoso account. Then select the + Create Campaign button.

On the next page, select Direct Marketplace and then scroll down and click Next

On the next page, instead of choosing a single item for the Campaign, you'll need to click the Create Recipient's Choice Campaign link at the top. Clicking this link will ensure that you're able to choose up to 8 options for your recipient to choose from.

After you've clicked the Create Recipient's Choice Campaign link, you'll be able to search, filter, and read all about each gift as normal. Click here to learn how to navigate the Marketplace.

To add a gift to your option pool, simply click the Add to Recipient's Choice button on a gift's details page, or click the + button on the gift's card. 

You can add up to 8 gift options for the Campaign. These gifts can be across any category, price point, and available region. Click here to learn more about how to filter gifts shown in the Marketplace.

Once you've made your selections for the Touch, click Save & Continue at the top to move through the rest of the Campaign creation process

Editing the Cart

If you change your mind and would like to remove a gift option from your cart, you can easily do so by clicking on the cart icon at any time during the selection process.

Once in your cart, you'll see all of the options you've selected. To remove a gift from your cart, simply click the X in the corner above that gift's photo.

If you want to replace the gift you removed, click the return to the Marketplace link at the top. To move to the next step of the Campaign creation process, click Save & Continue button. 

The Recipient Experience

Recipients will be able to choose their preferred gift through a landing page they will navigate to either through a gift email, an Address Confirmation email they receive or through a link that the sender provides, depending on the way the Send was initiated (pictured below):

Either way, the recipient will go to the landing page where they will be able to select their country.

Based on their location, they will only be shown the gifts that are able to be shipped to their country.

If they want to read more about a gift, they can click on the photo and see more information. This is also how they confirm their choice.

If Address Confirmation is enabled at the time of the send, the recipient will then be prompted to provide their address details once they've selected which gift they'd like to receive.

FAQs

How can I check which gift my recipient chose?

You can check your recipient's choice by checking on the Send Details page from the Send Tracker. If you scroll down on the Send Details page to the Gift Details section, you'll see the recipient's choice at the top. You'll also have the option to expand that field to view all of the options in the Campaign.

Is Address Confirmation required in order to send a Sendoso Choice Direct Campaign?

This depends on whether Address Confirmation is enabled at the time of the Send, or if the Global Address Confirmation settings require Address Confirmation on all Sends. For more information about Address Confirmation, click here

Can custom-branded or personalized items be included in a Sendoso Choice Direct Campaign?

Not at this time. Only non-custom branded/personalized items can be included in these Campaigns. You will have to create a single item Direct Campaign for custom-branded items in the Marketplace. Feel free to review this article to learn how. 

Can I update an existing Direct Campaign to include choices?

You will need to create a new Campaign.

Why is the recipient prompted to select their country before choosing their gift?

For these Campaigns, you're able to select a variety of gifts that ship to a variety of countries. However, not every gift can be shipped to every country. To ensure the recipient chooses a gift that they can actually receive, we filter their options based on the country the gift will be shipped to.
