Depending on how your organization has configured Sendoso, you may sign in using Single Sign-On (SSO) or Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).
These are different login methods, and it's important to use the correct login process for your organization.
First: Determine How You Sign In
If your organization uses SSO
If your organization has enabled SSO (Single Sign-On), you should sign in through your organization's SSO login page or dedicated organization URL.
Your SSO login page is managed by your organization and its identity provider, not by Sendoso.
Your organization's SSO provider may be something like:
- Okta
- Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD)
- Google Workspace
- Another corporate identity provider
When using SSO, do not enter your Sendoso email address and password or a Sendoso MFA/OTP code at app.sendoso.com.
Instead, go to the login URL provided by your organization and complete the sign-in process there.
Important: Your organization's SSO administrator or IT team manages your SSO login and any MFA requirements associated with your SSO account.
If your organization uses MFA
If your organization is using Sendoso MFA instead of SSO, you should access Sendoso directly at:
app.sendoso.com
You will sign in using your:
- Email address
- Sendoso password
- 6-digit verification code from your authenticator app
Your authenticator app provides the temporary code required to complete your login.
Important: If you are using Sendoso MFA, make sure you are visiting app.sendoso.com to sign in.
What is MFA?
Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) adds an additional layer of security to your account by requiring more than one method of verifying your identity.
When MFA is enabled for your Sendoso account, you will typically:
- Go to app.sendoso.com
- Enter your Sendoso email address and password.
- Open your authenticator app.
- Enter the 6-digit code displayed in the app.
- Complete your login.
What is an Authenticator App?
An authenticator app is an application on your mobile device that generates temporary security codes used to verify your identity.
Common authenticator apps include:
- Microsoft Authenticator
- Google Authenticator
- Authy
- 1Password
- Other compatible authenticator applications
The app generates a new code periodically.
For example:
482731
This is called an OTP (One-Time Password) or verification code.
The code is temporary and changes automatically.
What does "OTP code must have 6 numeric characters" mean?
If you see the error:
OTP code must have 6 numeric characters
Sendoso is expecting a 6-digit numeric code from your authenticator app.
Check the following:
1. Make sure you're using your authenticator app
Open the authenticator app you used when setting up MFA and locate the account associated with your Sendoso login.
2. Enter the current 6-digit code
The code should contain exactly 6 numbers.
3. Make sure the code hasn't expired
Authenticator codes are temporary. If the code changes while you're entering it, use the newly generated code.
4. Make sure you're using the correct account
If you have multiple accounts in your authenticator app, confirm that you're using the code associated with your Sendoso account.
5. Check your device's date and time
Authenticator codes rely on your device's time being accurate. Make sure your phone's date and time are set to automatic.
SSO vs. MFA at a Glance

| Do I use my Sendoso password? | Typically no | Yes |
| Do I enter a Sendoso OTP code? | No | Yes |
| Where is MFA handled? | By your organization's identity provider, if required | Through your Sendoso authenticator setup |
Remember
Using SSO?
Go to your organization's SSO login page. Your organization's IT/SSO administrator manages this login.
Using Sendoso MFA?
Go to app.sendoso.com, enter your Sendoso email and password, then enter the 6-digit code from your authenticator app.
Seeing "OTP code must have 6 numeric characters"?
You're using the MFA login flow. Make sure you're entering the current 6-digit numeric code from your authenticator app.
Still can't log in?
If you're unsure whether your organization uses SSO or MFA, contact your organization's IT or Sendoso administrator to confirm which login method you should be using.
If you're using MFA and your 6-digit authenticator code isn't being accepted, contact Sendoso Support and let us know that you're using MFA and receiving the "OTP code must have 6 numeric characters" error.
