Updating to the New HubSpot App

This document will walk you through updating to the new Sendoso app in HubSpot. It’s important to note that updating the app will require some updates to any reporting or workflows you have configured in HubSpot. 

We suggest that you update the app as soon as your team has a few moments to make the adjustments outlined at the bottom of this document.

One important item to check before proceeding:

  • Is anyone at my company running an active Sendoso campaign via a HubSpot workflow?
    • If yes, please wait to update until the team is at a stopping point
    • If no, you can proceed with updating to the new application

To get started, log in to Sendoso, navigate to Integrations then click on the HubSpot integration. The first step is revoking the current HubSpot sync by pressing the “Revoke HubSpot” button.

After revoking the integration, the screen will refresh. Now simply click on the “Sync HubSpot” button and follow the prompts to install the new application.

Now the new Sendoso HubSpot app has been installed!

A few important things to do in HubSpot:

  • Update any gifting workflows to use the new Sendoso app
  • Update any follow-up workflows to use the new Sendoso Gift Status Event
    • Tip: If you are triggering a workflow based on the send status you will filter where Subject Line, contains any of, {{insert_status}}

  • Update any lists or reporting to use (or include) the new Sendoso Gift Status Event

FAQs

Do I need to recreate everything from scratch?

No, everything in Sendoso will immediately start using the new sync. The only action required is to update any workflows or lists/reporting that uses the old Sendoso app to leverage the new one (as mentioned above).

Is re-syncing HubSpot in Sendoso required at this point?

It is not required at this point, however, if you're in a good spot to resync and edit your existing workflows, (no active Sendoso campaigns in HubSpot) updating the app is recommended!

Is there a deadline to complete these steps?

There is no deadline to make the switch as of yet, but we recommend taking these steps when you have the time to make the recommended adjustments to your HubSpot workflows and reports.

Are there any benefits to this?

The new, updated, HubSpot app condenses workflow steps and removes unnecessary gift events for an easier experience in HubSpot. This will also be the application where any new features get released.
