Address Formatting & Validation

  • Updated

Sendoso continues to make improvements to address validation and formatting to ensure your gifts get delivered to the right person at the right time.

Sendoso not only displays appropriate address fields based on the country but also validates that inputted addresses are deliverable before the gift sends.

Recent Updates:

And now with the new fallback feature, if the address provided for a send is invalid, we will automatically send the recipient an address confirmation form.

For triggered sends, senders have the option to activate or deactivate this feature when creating the campaign.

This not only ensures that gifts are delivered to the intended recipient but also helps with the customs clearance process for international shipments.

Address Validation for Individual Recipients

Address Formatting

Whether sending to one person or sending to multiple recipients via CSV, fields will automatically be updated based on the recipient’s country. Additionally, for address requests via triggers, you no longer have to put in a placeholder address within the integration.

If Address Confirmation is being used, an email address is now required. For any sends to be delivered to a country outside of the United States, both a phone number and email address are required. These requirements are needed to ensure the gift can cross borders.

Address Validation

For sends to an individual, addresses will be validated prior to accepting orders, catching typos, or incorrect inputs. If there are errors, the platform will prompt the sender or recipient to fix the errors.

When sending to multiple recipients via a CSV file or through triggers, sends will be converted to using Address Confirmation if an invalid address is detected. The Address Confirmation request expires after two days at which point, if a response has not been received from the recipient, the original address initially flagged by our validation system will be submitted as a send.

With appropriate address details, senders can be assured of reliable delivery of products and that customs and immigration requirements are provided. Senders can see fewer shipping delays as well as a reduction in manual processes.

We will validate addresses through multiple send methods:
