Introduction
Sendoso is now a native action in Clay, allowing teams to trigger hyper-personalized gifting and direct mail from within Clay tables and workflows.
GTM teams can enrich, qualify, score, and experiment in Clay. Now, they can automatically recommend, select, and send gifts via Sendoso without leaving their outbound workflow.
Three ways to use Sendoso integration inside of Clay:

Adding Sendoso Enrichments to a Clay Table
All steps for connecting Sendoso to Clay will take place within your Clay instance.
On your Clay table, click to add a new column and click Add enrichment and search for Sendoso in the Actions search bar at the top. And select one of the three options with the Sendoso logo:
- Get gift recommendations: This will give you a list of gifts recommended by Sendoso’s SmartSend feature
- Send a gift recommended by Sendoso: Using Sendoso’s SmartSend, a gift will be chosen and sent to the approval queue.
- Send a gift of your choice: Select a gift from the Marketplace or from your inventory to send.
Regardless of which of the above options you choose, you’ll have to connect your Sendoso account:
Please note that whoever connects their Sendoso account to this dataset will have funds pulled from their Sendoso Account Balance for any gifts that are sent.
Get Gift Recommendations
After you’ve connected your Sendoso account, you’ll need to select your inputs. You’ll select the maximum price (for sending a recommended gift and for getting gift recommendation options) for the gift and choose the country to ship to.
Pro tip: If you’d like to use Clay’s AI to create thoughtful notes based on data in the dataset, you’ll need to add the following columns to your Clay table:
- Product Name
- Description
- Variant ID
Once you save and run the enrichment, you’ll see the gift recommendations populate that column. Click the green check emoji to see the recommendations.
Clicking on each number will expand that row to show the product details.
Send a Gift of your Choice
This enrichment is a great option if you already have a gift in mind to send to your contacts, or use it in conjunction with the Get gift recommendations enrichment. All you need is the Variant ID to set this up, which you can find manually, or use Clay’s AI to get.
How to find a Variant ID
The Variant ID is located in the URL of your chosen gift within the Marketplace. If you’re sending a gift from your inventory, you’ll need to make sure your inventory is accessible via the Sendoso Marketplace.
From the Send tab, click Marketplace. From there, either click into the Inventory tab to find your products there, or find the gift you’d like to send from a vendor in the marketplace.
Click into the product you’d like to send and locate the Variant ID in the URL. The ID will come after the “VariantID=” text in the URL.

Send a recommended gift by Sendoso
If you’re running a large campaign and you’d like to quickly send recommended gifts, you can select the Send a gift recommended by Sendoso option.
Sendoso will trigger a send with the best-matched gift for your immediate approval using SmartSend.
Approving the Clay-initiated Sends
Once you’ve set up your Sendoso-enriched Clay table and triggered some sends, head over to the synced Sendoso account to review and approve the gifts.
Click Send Tracker under the Reporting tab.
Then click Pending Approval at the top.
Click the three dots on a send’s row and then click Approve.
Best Practices and Considerations
1. Use Sendoso enrichment actions alongside Clay’s AI.
Add the Get Gift Recommendations + Send Gift of your Choice actions to work together in your Clay table for easy sending.
After setting up the Get Gift Recommendations enrichment, Use Clay’s AI to choose the best gift, and add the Send Gift of Your Choice action to send the gift.

2. Don’t choose products with size and color variants.
Each product size and color has its own variant ID, so choosing a product with different sizes or colors is not recommended. Pick gifts that are one-size-fits-all.
3. Use the exchange option if you want your recipients to have more options!
When configuring each enrichment, be sure to toggle “enable gift exchange” to give your recipient more flexibility.
FAQs
How are these gifts funded?
Gifts will be funded from the synced Sendoso user's account balance. When you start to configure Sendoso enrichments, you’ll choose the Sendoso account that will fund these gifts.
Are eGifts included in recommendations?
Currently, only physical gifts are included in these sends.
