Analytics Page Overview

The Analytics page provides metrics in an easily digestible dashboard view and displays the most important information needed to monitor sending activity and engagement.

Additionally, for accounts that use the Salesforce integration, the Analytics page will provide a detailed ROI breakdown based on the performance of campaigns that are synced with your Salesforce instance.

For full access to this page, users have to be Admin or Manager users. For more information about roles and permissions, click here.

In this article, we’ll go through the importance of each of the tabs on the new Analytics page and will review key terms displayed on this page.

Filters

At the top of the Analytics page, you’ll see a Filters icon where you can adjust the data that you see on the tabs that this article covers.

You’ll be able to change the date range of the data shown, or you can filter to only show a specific team, gift type, or even campaign in the graphs on each tab.

Overview 

The Overview tab on the Analytics page will display some at-a-glance metrics at the top based on the chosen date range. You’ll be able to see engagement rates, total sends, total engaged sends, in progress, and canceled sends during that time.

To get an idea of how engagement is tracking over time, scroll down to the first graph on that tab, it will show your send engagement trends.

If you want to get a more granular view of your sends during that timeframe, scroll down to see your total number of sends, including in-progress and canceled sends. This will give you a good idea of certain trends over time.

Sender, Team & Campaign Activity

The Sender, Team & Campaign Activity tab will give you an even more granular view of the activity on your Sendoso account. Here, you’ll see some additional tabs appear (Sender Activity, Team Usage, and Campaign Usage) and you’ll be able to Export a CSV of each report so you can work with the raw data, or upload it into other tools in your tech stack.

Sender Activity will allow you to see the names of the senders on your account and how their sends are performing in regards to engagement and total spend.

Team Usage will allow you to see each team’s performance and spend.

And finally, Campaign Usage will let you know the engagement and usage rates per Sendoso campaign.

Send Breakdown

To get a look at what types of Sends your users are sending, head over to the Send Breakdown tab. Here, you’ll see some additional tabs appear that will allow you to see sends that are in progress, engaged, or canceled.

On the graph, you’ll see what types of sends are being submitted over the specified date range.

Below, you’ll also be able to see how your senders are sending these gifts. You’ll see whether they’re sending via email or link and if they’re sending through Sendoso, Amazon, or integrations.

Spend Breakdown

The Spend Breakdown is where you’ll head to understand how the money from your Funding Sources is being spent. You’ll be able to see what types of sends your funds are being spent on over the selected date range.

You’ll also see spend by Send Method and Send Origin.

Salesforce ROI

If you have campaigns synced to Salesforce, you will also have access to the Salesforce ROI dashboard. This dashboard will look at the total spend in your synced campaigns vs opportunity value to give you a calculated ROI score.

You will see your overall ROI for the date range selected at the top, but if you want to see each synced campaign’s ROI, you can scroll down to the table.

For convenience, here is a breakdown of the Analytics page key terms:

Attempted Send/Spend: The total count of all sends based on applied filters

In Progress Send/Spend: The total count of all sends based on applied filters that have the following statuses: Amazon Fulfilling, Amazon Shipped, Confirming Address, Fulfilling, Initiated, Order Received, Sent, Shipped

Canceled Send/Spend: The total count of all sends based on applied filters that have the following statuses: Bounced, Canceled, Confirmation Canceled, Failed, Refunded, Undeliverable

Engaged Send/Spend: The total count of all sends based on applied filters that have the following statuses: Opened, Clicked, Redeemed, Delivered, Expired

FAQs

How is the engagement rate calculated?

The engagement rate is calculated by taking the total number of engaged sends divided by (attempted sends minus in-progress sends)
