How do I send an eGift Offer via Email?

Sending eGift offers is a great instant gifting option. You can send the recipient a specific eGift offer or an eGift for coffee, lunch, wine, or experiences which lets them decide which eGift offer to choose from within the category you selected. Sendoso offers over 200+ options from Starbucks to Chipotle to Amazon and many others.

How to Send an eGift Email through Sendoso

Once your Campaign is set up by your admin or manager, your new eGift should be available under the Sendoso Choice option on your Send page.

To send to one recipient via email, you need to select "To a single person/company." If you want to send it to a group of people, you'll need to upload a CSV file with the recipients' information or select Party Link.

If you want to send the eGift through a personal email to your recipient, you'll want to choose "Generate a link for me to add to my own email." For more information, check out this article

The next step will involve choosing the length of the offer, providing the recipient's information, and making some additional/optional customization selections. For more information about customization, read this article.

Click Send It in the bottom-right corner!

(Note - the email header can be replaced with your own company logo or custom image when creating your template.)

Recipient Messages

With the new consolidated view of recipient messages, you will now be sure that your messaging will appear in the correct place along the gift redemption journey.

When you create a send, you’ll now see one Recipient Messages field by default. This message will appear across all recipient touch-points unless you choose to customize them individually.

If you want to tailor your message for specific surfaces, you can easily do so:

  1. Email Message - Customize the message that appears in the recipient's email
  2. Landing Page Message – Edit the message displayed on the recipient’s landing page.
  3. Notecard Message – Personalize the printed note included with physical sends or gifts.

Each message type will only appear when relevant to your send (for example, notecard messaging will only show if a notecard is included). Additionally, if you're sending an eGift email through Sendoso, you'll be able to customize the email and landing page message. If you're sending a link instead of an email, you'll only have the option to provide the landing page message.

The Recipient's Experience

After pressing "Send", the recipient will get an email that looks like this if they sent out a single send:

Once they select the eGift voucher they want, the recipient will confirm their email address for security purposes.

Once the email is verified, the user will receive a separate email that includes the eGift’s redemption code. This email enables the recipient to have a record of the eGift for reference.
