This is a quick guide regarding the ins and outs of one of Sendoso's most popular send options; wine, and champagne! There are three options for sending wine and champagne:
Sendoso Direct: We work with different vendors to keep select wine and champagne options in stock and to allow our users to send on-demand! You can rest easy knowing that all wine shipments are always packaged in special shell packaging to protect your shipments from getting damaged in transit.
Wine + Custom Options: This option allows you to send wine or champagne that we already have stored in our Beverage - US Sending Fulfillment Center. This option also allows you to choose items from your own inventory that you may have at this same warehouse.
Inventoried Sends: This option is for those who have wine and champagne inventory in our Beverage - US Sending Fulfillment Center. If you want to send items to this Sending Fulfillment Center, please review this article.
Sendoso Direct
1. Log in to your Sendoso account and navigate to the Touches page (Manager users only) and click on the Create New Touch button to get started.
2. Scroll towards the bottom (under the Sendoso Direct section) and select the "Direct Marketplace"
3. On this page, you'll be able to use the filters on the left-hand side to narrow your search. Select "Alcohol" under the "Category" filter.
4. Once you've made a decision, click Add to touch to continue to the Touch Details portion of the touch setup.
5. Once you complete the rest of the touch setup, your users will be able to start sending these wines and champagnes!
Setting up the Touch Using Our Wine + Custom Options
1. Log in to your Sendoso account and navigate to the Touches page and click on the Create New Touch button to get started.
2. From there, you'll click on the Wine + Custom Options under the Sendoso Direct section:
3. You'll make your way to the next step and choose which wine or champagne option you'd like to set up your Touch with. You may also include any other products that you may have inventoried in our Beverage-US Sending Fulfillment Center:
4. Once you've made your selection(s), you'll move on to the next steps to finish your Touch!
Inventoried Wine and Champagne
If you already have wine or champagne in your inventory, then you'll want to follow these steps.
1. Log in to your Sendoso account and navigate to the Touches page (Manager users only) and click on the Create New Touch button to get started.
2. Scroll down to select one of the options under Inventoried Sends.
3. Be sure to select the Beverage - US Sending Fulfillment Center option as this is the only Sending Fulfillment Center that keeps alcohol inventory.
4. Select the wine or champagne you'd like to include in the touch. You can also fill out the quantity of each item if you want to ensure the sender doesn't send more than one product!
5. Continue to the Touch Details page to continue setting up the Touch.
Alcohol Shipping Restrictions
Any orders containing alcohol from our Beverage - US Sending Fulfillment Center will be shipped via Ground. Expedited shipping is not available. Sendoso can only ship beer or wine and cannot ship liquor and spirits, however, we work with other Sendoso Direct vendors that have other alcohol options available. Restrictions on shipping to states where prohibited (Oklahoma, Alabama, Kentucky, Mississippi, Utah, New Hampshire, Virginia, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, or Delaware), as well as certain specific zip codes will apply.
Our Beverage - US Sending Fulfillment Center is the only Sendoso Sending Fulfillment Center able to inventory and ship alcohol, but cannot ship alcohol internationally. All other Sendoso Sending Fulfillment Centers are currently not licensed to receive or ship alcohol of any kind. Please ensure that any and all shipments are directed accordingly to the proper Sending Fulfillment Center.
In the event alcohol is shipped to one of our Sending Fulfillment Centers where we are not able to inventory or send alcohol, these items will be destroyed.
