Salesforce Campaign Tracking - Additional Fields Definitions

  • Updated

Tracking Sendoso activity into Salesforce is vital for measuring the true success of your sending programs.

In addition to tracking the status of each send into its Salesforce campaign, Sendoso also provides you the opportunity to track additional data points so you can get the full details of each send in Salesforce.

Many of these data points may require custom fields (we recommend inserting them on the campaign member object in most cases) but you have flexibility on which objects to use.

See best practices on Salesforce tracking here.

Total $ Spent:

  • The total cost of the send for an individual recipient. Can be tracked to any field on the campaign member object. May require a custom field.
  • The total cost of the send for an individual recipient. Can be tracked to any field on the contact object. May require a custom field.
  • The total cost of the send for an individual recipient. Can be tracked to any field on the lead object. May require a custom field.
  • The accumulated total cost of the touch based on all sends of that touch. Can be tracked to any field on the campaign object. Recommend mapping to the Actual Cost in Campaign field (a default field in Salesforce).

Sender Data:

  • The full name of the sender. If this is a triggered touch, the sender will be the synced account/team owner in Sendoso. If this is a manual touch, the sender will be the individual Sendoso user/sender. Can be tracked to any field on the contact, lead, account, opportunity, campaign or campaign member object. May require a custom field.
  • The email address of the sender. If this is a triggered touch, the sender will be the synced account/team owner in Sendoso. If this is a manual touch, the sender will be the individual Sendoso user/sender. Can be tracked to any field on the contact, lead, account, opportunity, campaign or campaign member object. May require a custom field.
  • The name of the team in which the sender is assigned in the Sendoso platform. Can be tracked to any field on the contact, lead, account, opportunity, campaign or campaign member object. May require a custom field.

Additional Fields:

  • The date of the send. Can be tracked to any field on the contact, lead, account, opportunity, campaign or campaign member object. May require a custom field.
  • The custom message included in the copy of the eGift email or the body of the notecard included in the physical gift. May require a custom field.
  • The name of the sent touch. Can be tracked to any field on the contact, lead, account, opportunity, campaign or campaign member object. May require a custom field.
  • A list of items included in a ‘preset bundle’ touch. Can be tracked to any field on the contact, lead, account, opportunity, campaign or campaign member object. May require a custom field.
  • Allows you to specify the task type for all Sendoso activities. Default + custom task types will load. May require a custom field if desired.
