The first step to start sending your inventory out to recipients is creating the product listings for your items to be inventoried at a Sendoso Sending Fulfillment Center (SFC.) When creating products, you can create items with variations, such as sizes, colors, and materials. This enables you to organize all variations under a single “Parent Product” listing.
Let’s get started! First, you’ll want to navigate to your Inventory page using the navigation bar at the top of your screen:
Once you have navigated to the Inventory page, you will select + Create Product to open the product creation flow:
The product creation flow will walk you through each of the following steps:
1. First, select the type of product you will be creating! To create a product with variations, you will select the Physical Product listing:
2. You’ll then select the Product Category. For this example, we will be creating an Apparel product. Select your category, and then click Next at the bottom of the screen:
3. On the next page, you’ll select the product subcategory and click Next. For this example, we are creating Shirts:
4. On the next page, you’ll be asked to fill out a few product details:
- Product Title: What would you like this product to be called?
- Vendor (optional): You can list the vendor from which you sourced this product. This is an internal listing for your record purposes only.
- Brand (optional): Again, this is an internal listing for your record purposes only.
- Cost per Unit: This is another internal listing, but is required.
- Product Description (optional): A brief description of your product.
- Product Image: Upload an image of your product, so your senders and our team at the SFC can easily identify it! We recommend you upload an image sized 1000x753 pixels or smaller.
Once you have filled out all of your initial product details, click Next.
5. Now, you will add your variations! You’ll be asked if the product is a Single Item or if it has Variants. Select Variants to start adding your variations of this product:
6. Here, you will select your product’s color, available sizes, materials, and sizing gender. If your product has multiple sizes (as our example does: XS, S, M, L, XL, XXL, 3XL), you will want to be sure to select all sizes in this step:
7. The next step in creating your product is to select the Warehouse these products will be stored in, and then determine if this item can be shipped internationally or domestically only:
8. Lastly, you'll want to choose what teams can access this product:
That’s it! Your products are now created!
In a couple of hours, you should see your products listed on the Inventory page:
You will see the “Parent Product” listed here, but only the “Child Products” or variants can be added to Ship Notices.
You can now create your Ship Notice to send in your items!
When you set up your Campaign, you will add the parent product (in this example, “New Hire Sendoso Shirt”) to the Campaign. The sender will then be able to select the size for their recipient(s) in the Send Flow!
